Carla Cameron BA (hons), QTS – Principal
“Stardust dancers, create the dreams.”
It was principal Carla Cameron’s goal to give local youngsters the opportunity to take part in fun, professional classes and to have exciting dance performance opportunities. After her own extensive performing, Carla wanted to enable others to follow in her footsteps; therefore Stardust Dance Academy was born.
Carla is a qualified primary school teacher, has a first class honours degree in Dance and is members of the BGA, BTDA and Zumba fitness. The academy’s dream has become a reality with dancers performing in shows, carnivals and festivals around the country, including performances at The Queens and Her Majesty’s theatres, London, as well as annually at The Royal Albert Hall.
Carla would like to thank the dancer’s for making her dreams come true. Spread the Stardust. x

I play a vital role in both the Solihull and Sutton Stardust Academies. I’m an energetic, inspiring, professional dance and gymnastics teacher, who is seen as approachable by students, staff and parents. I am a member of the BTDA and BGA.
Over the last eight years, I have taught in over twenty five academic schools, receiving an Outstanding OFSTED report in PE and dance practice. I am able to teach a variety of different styles to a range of ages.
After the success of Stardust Solihull, with the help of Carla, I set up Stardust Sutton. It has now grown from strength to strength offering eight different classes to all ages and abilities. In 2015 they will be performing in their first Chance To Dance and BDTA medal tests.
My experiences include: 2007 – Present. Choreographing routines in the large scale production of Mardi Gras, which takes place at the Royal Albert Hall.
2011 – Present. Choreographing routines in the Young Performers show at Her Majesty’s Theatre, London
2007 – Present. Leading students successfully trough the professional BTDA process.
2013. Worked alongside the local community creating engaging, exciting performances for fundraising events.

I began my dancing career at the tender age of 3, participating in ballet, tap, freestyle, modern and jazz classes. By the age of 16 I decided to further my career and attend theatre school. I graduated from LTS and began my career as a dance teacher. I have been teaching for 4 years now, and I am always proud of all my students, as I love seeing them develop into confident, professional performers who have a true passion to perform. I look forward to the future of Stardust, and I love being a part of the family!
Charlotte Brain- Dance, Gym and Cheerleading coach
Dancing has been my passion, since the age of 3 when I started ballet, tap and jazz. I studied the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts, where I trained in many styles of dance including contemporary, tap, ballet, jazz and commercial. This is when I started my Stardust journey as an assistant. After 5 years of working for Stardust, my love of working with the children encouraged me to make the decision to study a BA (hons) degree in Childcare, which I graduated with a first class degree.
I am also First aid and safeguard trained and have Gymnastic and Cheerleading qualifications.
My aim within my classes, is to allow my dancers to have as much fun as possible and to make friends, whilst increasing their technique, fitness & love of dance!!!
Hollie Jones – I am an inspiring dance performer and choreographer.
